Heirs of an 800 year long tradition, lay Dominicans are above all, people on a path, eager to deepen their Christian life in the manner of St Dominic.
The lay Dominicans are men and women of all ages and backgrounds gathered in local fraternities which can be found in several Canadian provinces.
Each at their own pace, they participate freely in the life of their fraternity and may decide, after a period of training, to make a formal commitment to the Order of Preachers.
Involved with their loved ones, family, colleagues, friends and people they encounter on their path, they bear witness to the Gospel at the heart of the world.
In complementarity with brothers, sisters and nuns they share the charism of St. Dominic through study, prayer, preaching and fraternal life.
